Based on their properties and structure, composite insulators can be mainly divided into rigid composite insulators and flexible composite insulators.
1. Rigid composite insulators are composite insulators composed of a metal support, a hollow structure, a high-density polyurethane insulating medium, an elastomer with a surface coating, and a metal wheel.
2. Flexible composite insulators are composite insulators made of polyurethane emulsion. The emulsion can fill the spaces between metal or plastic pads to form a flexible insulating pad, thereby achieving high-strength insulation.
