Steel-cored aluminum stranded wire splicing process requirements:

1. Select tools and materials as required, and complete pre-construction preparations and safety measures.

2. Clean the conductors, remove the oxide layer, and cut off excess steel core.

3. Take a length of 400-500 mm, divide it into an umbrella shape (six aluminum cores, the umbrella shape should not open more than 30 degrees), and cut the steel core 120 mm from the separated point, ensuring it is not loose.

4. Cross the ends of the single umbrella-shaped cores at a 15-degree angle, alternating every other core. Smooth and press the base of the umbrella shape tightly, and flatten the crossed cores. Use a wooden mallet to tidy it up.

5. Take a single-core wire with a cross-section of 2.6-3.0 mm (1200 mm long), fold it in half, and wrap 25 mm around each side from the splice center. Then fold it along the wire to a 90-degree angle, leaving 20 mm as the main wire. Cut off the excess wire.

6. Take a single core wire from the front of the main wire and wrap it according to the conductor twist direction.

7. After wrapping each core wire 6-7 times, fold the remaining core wire at a 90-degree angle, leaving 20mm, and cut off the excess wire. Straighten the second core wire below and wrap it tightly over the previous one, following the same twist direction. Repeat this process for the third, fourth, and fifth core wires. After wrapping the fifth core wire 6-7 times, twist it with the sixth core wire to form a small braid (3-5 turns) and cut off the excess wire.

8. Wrap the other core wire using the same method, ensuring the wrapping is correct, tight, smooth, and the number of turns meets the requirements.

9. Apply petroleum jelly.

10. When cutting whole conductors or steel core wires, use wire cutters; when cutting or knotting pure aluminum wire, use wire cutters.

Do not use wire cutters for other operations to avoid damaging the conductor. Steel-cored aluminum stranded wire splicing operation steps:

One person starts the work, and the other assists, but must not help with the operation; a total of 2 people are required.

1. Check that all tools and equipment are complete;

2. Report to the examiner: Tools are ready, may we begin? Work begins only after permission is granted;

3. Straighten and clean the wire in the opposite direction of its own stress;

4. Measure the length, unfold the core into an umbrella shape, and treat the oxide layer;

5. Shape with a wooden mallet;

6. Wind as required;

7. Apply petroleum jelly;

8. Clean up the site, arrange neatly, and return tools and equipment to their original positions;

9. Report to the examiner: Work completed, and hand over the spliced ​​steel-cored aluminum stranded wire. The second person begins the work, repeating steps 1-8, with one person assisting, but without helping with the operation;

10. Report to the examiner: Work completed, may we leave only after permission is granted, and hand over the spliced ​​steel-cored aluminum stranded wire;

11. After permission is granted, both people leave the site simultaneously.
